Personality is the reflection of Emotion

A person’s personality, largely depends on what kind of emotional state they are in right now.

If a person is in a calm state, they will be logical.

If a person is in a state of focused love, they will be passionate.

If a person is in a state of anxiety, they will be irritable or jittery.

If a person is in a state of unhappiness, they will be angry.

Those are the states & subsequent personalities that I’ve figured out so far.

I recently read how people act more rational when speaking/working in a foreign language. I find trying to change my emotional state much more fun than analyzing everyone else’s

Interesting, I wonder if that’s because they have to use more of their conscious mind to speak a foreign language and so are less emotional.

I love changing my emotional state, as having control over our emotions is helpful in TONS of situations.

Yet I also know that, if I want to know how to negotiate and sell and live my life around other people, I had best know how to influence and act according to their emotional states.

That’s where this comes in useful: not in idle analysis, but in using their emotions as an indication of how to reach your goals with them.

As Emperor Palpitine said to a young Anakin in Star Wars, “I see you becoming the greatest of all the Jedi…”

Being able to ‘hijack’ on that biological/emotional basis is some pretty powerful stuff. From all I’ve read so far we’re not as ‘solid’ as we like to think – we are mutable with the right external factors so we must keep doubly on guard to master our own power to be who we want to be. I now feel like we’re chameleons who can choose our shape but if another entity has more will than us they have the power to reshape us to their liking. Thus the responsibility of self – guarding our inner power – keeping both eyes open.

Definitely hard to put yourself above your emotion. But crucial for being able to flow through life without getting thrown around by what ever environment you’re in.
